Accommodation: BSEL does not have on-campus accommodation. However, the BSEL International Office can provide limited third party accommodation spots for exchange students, offered by either Studentenwerk Berlin or Studentendorf Berlin (“student village”).

• Berlin is the biggest city and also the capital of Germany – it is an interesting multicultural city and also an important cultural and historical centre
• The University has a buddy programme and offers a variety of different sports activities; The application period is from May 01st to June 15th for applications for the winter semester (same year) and from October 15th to November 15th for applications for the summer semester (following year)
• Berlin is a city that never sleeps – there are so many different clubs, bars, discos that you can go out 24/7 and there is some spot for every taste
• The food scene in Berlin is very popular and diverse – almost every kind of international cuisine can be found there – but most important in Berlin is to try original Berliner Currywurst
• For those interested in culture and history, Berlin is the place to be – theatres, art galleries, libraries, museums, opera houses and cultural important sights like the Brandenburger Tor, the German Reichstag and the Holocaust Memorial
• Berlin has a variety of different leisure activities to offer – you can always find something to do there even if it is just shopping or hang out with your friends in one of the many parks; Sometimes it just happens that you walk around some corner and suddenly there is a free concert you can join – Berlin is full of such “magic”
• The public transportation system is very good developed; You have a subway, tram, bus and also railway system; Berlin has several airports from where you can fly to destinations all over the world
