Dr. Francesco Macheda presents his scientific work about Iceland’s economic situation in Italy
Dr. Francesco Macheda has been invited to hold a seminar hosted by the Department of Economics and Management, University of Florence (Italy) on the 11th of December. The title of the seminar is “The Danger of a ‘Geyser Disease” Effect. Structural Fragility of the Tourism-Led Recovery in Iceland”. Here, Francesco will discuss the main findings of his paper which has been co-authored by Italian political scientist Roberto Nadalini.

Culture and the Periphery: Conference on Nordic Cultural Policy Research at Bifröst
The ninth Nordic Conference on Cultural Policy Research (NCCPR) 2019 will be held at Bifröst University in Iceland. The theme of the conference is cultural peripheries and it focuses on questions concerning marginal culture, definitional boundaries of cultural policy research, and fringes in cultural politics.

Cooperation with Corvinus University of Budapest
Bifröst University collaborated with Corvinus University of Budapest in a short-term project managed by the Hungarian University. The project, titled „Adaptation of Best Practices in Course Development to Improve Women’s Employment“ received funding form the EEA Grants‘ National Agency in Hungary (HU01-0016- COOPER-B1- 2017). The project was led by Ms. Judit Fekete, project manager at Corvinus University‘s Observatory Center for Educational Development.
