Research centres
Bifröst University is committed to active research across its academic fields. The University’s Research Centre supports academic staff in their research activities and promotes collaboration between researchers both in Iceland and internationally. The Bifröst campus provides an excellent environment for research and study, and the University has hosted numerous conferences and seminars in recent years. By supporting research grant applications and academic networking, the Research Centre aims to strengthen international cooperation.
In recent years, Bifröst’s Research Centre has been involved in a range of research and consultancy projects for both the private and public sectors. The Centre also conducts surveys in collaboration with the University’s researchers and external partners. Surveys are conducted by telephone, post or email. The Centre also provides research assistance to students.
As part of the University’s Research Policy, Bifröst operates four independent research centres: the Centre of Regional and Municipality Studies, the Centre for Creative Industries, the Centre for European Studies and the Centre for Retail Studies.
