International Office
At Bifröst University, we place strong emphasis on international cooperation with universities abroad. Students have the opportunity to study at one of Bifröst’s partner institutions overseas, with all credits fully recognised towards their undergraduate degree, ensuring no delay in their academic progress.
An exchange period is excellent preparation for further study and future employment in an international environment. It also offers students the chance to experience a different culture, gain valuable personal and academic insight, and broaden their horizons. In recent years, a considerable number of Bifröst students have spent one or two semesters abroad. Likewise, the university welcomes a group of incoming exchange students every year.
Bifröst University participates in the Erasmus programme and holds a number of bilateral agreements with selected universities outside Europe. The university is also a member of the University of the Arctic, a cooperative network of institutions in Canada, the United States, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. In addition, Bifröst takes part in the north2north mobility programme organised by UArctic.
