Accommodation:

 

Istanbul Aydin University has special agreements with a several private dormitories in order to provide accommodation services to the students. There is, however, the option of renting a flat with students who study in Istanbul or with other International students.  You can also easily find convenient accomodation facilities using web sites or real estate agents.

Average Expenses:


• Flat: € 350-700 monthly
• Sharing Flat: € 200-500 monthly

Useful information:

 

Ø  Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, representing the country’s most dynamic and vibrant city, not to mention the center for economy, culture and historical heritage;

Ø  The city's historic centre is about 7 kilometres long and 4 kilometres wide on average (4 miles by 2.5 miles). This means that it is impossible to avoid using public transport if you want to venture outside the city centre. But many districts are very easy to explore on foot;

Ø  The currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TRY). ATMs are widely available in major cities and tourist areas. You can get local currency from banks and exchange bureaux, known as DOVIZ in Turkish;

Ø  The costs of living in Istanbul is approximately 3000 TRY;

Ø  Istanbul enjoys a temperate climate, strongly influenced by the Black Sea to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Summers are rather hot, with high humidity, although it seldom rains. Winter are cold, with frequent snow and frost.
