Bifröst University is located in a truly unique environment in the valley Norðurárdalur in Borgarfjörður, approx. 100 km from Reykjavik. The university offers its students outstanding education in a tight knitted community, with a quiet, yet bussing campus where you are bound to make friends for life.
Bifröst is your ideal location in Iceland. Rent is affordable, the air is clean and the serenity of the place helps you focusing on your studies while also making friends and exploring the Icelandic way of living. We pride ourselves in offering the best possible environment for student life at our campus where you will find necessary services such as a small convenience store, library, laundrette, outdoor jacuzzi, a sauna and a gym, free of charge to students.
Students can choose to participate in 1-5 courses. Students who need visa must choose 5 courses in order to get visa.
Applicants must have completed at least one year of study at a university to be eligible for this program.

Admission letters are issued for applicants after they submit the application and pay the confirmation fee of 150 EUR. The receipt must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
The confirmation fee is non-refundable.

Students are obliged to bring their own laptop from home as there are no computer labs on campus
On-campus housing will be arranged for all international students. A single room in student apartments is allotted to students (with private bath and shared kitchen). The monthly rent for accommodation is 48.571 ISK (approx. 450 €). Here you can find more information regarding housing and other student’s services.

At Bifröst, international students will receive:

Students must have completed 60 ECTS / 30 US Credits at a university (undergraduate) to be eligible to participate in the courses.

In case of cancellation/no-show, the university refunds 90% of the paid amount, due to administration and currency risk.
