Bifröst University is proud to present a Master program fully taught in English. MA International Political Economy is a new 90 ECTS program starting in August 2019.
General deadline: May 15, 2019
Deadline for non-EU students: April 1, 2019
The MA in International Political Economy (IPE) is an interdiciplinary course with a broad scope, and has a solid foundation in Bifröst University’s position as a Nordic university in close proximity to the Arctic region. This study course prepares students for undertaking professional responsibilities in internatinal forums, including international organisations, NGO´s, multinational corporations, media and other agencies and practices in which understanding of global interdependence between processes of economic flows and political governance is valuable.
This master program is mainly taught online but students will clearly see the benefits of living in Bifröst campus with close proximity to inspiring nature, to the campus library and to a part of the faculty that lives on campus. The cost of living in Bifröst campus is relatively low and the student union actively organises events throughout the school-year.
Each semester has two modules with two courses in each module and two ´on campus´ workshops, one in the beginning of the program (August 2019) and one in the end (May 2020). Students can work on the MA thesis from June 2020 to December 2020.
The best thing about this program is the flexibility that the online environment brings to it. Students can go travelling or visit their families during the study period without missing out on studies.
