Bifröst University is proud to present this Master’s programme taught fully in English. MA in International Political Economy is a new 90 ECTS program starting in August 2019.
General deadline: May 15, 2019
Deadline for non-EU students: April 1, 2019
The MA in International Political Economy (IPE) is an interdisciplinary course with a wide scope, and a solid foundation within Bifröst University’s position as a Nordic university. The programme prepares students for professional responsibilities in international forums, including international organisations, NGO´s, multinational corporations, media and other agencies and practices in which an understanding of global interdependence between international ecomonic processes and political governance is valuable.
This master’s programme is taught online but some students may see the benefits of living on the Bifröst campus in close proximity to inspiring nature, to the campus library and to the faculty members who live on campus. The cost of living at Bifröst campus is relatively low and the student union actively organises events throughout the schoolyear.
Each semester consists of two modules with two courses in each module and two online/on campus workshops, one at the beginning of the programme (August 2019) and one at the end (May 2020). Students can work on their MA thesis from June 2020 to December 2020.
A very attractive element to this programme is the flexibility of the online environment, as this allows students anywhere in the world to participate. Many professionals who choose to complete graduate studies at Bifröst University, retain their employment during their studies.
