Visiting scholar from the University of Craiova

Assoc. Prof. Monica Tilea, PhD from the University of Craiova, Romania, visited Bifröst University during 23.04.2018-27.04.2018, within a preparatory visit financed by the EEA Grants – Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

The cooperation between the university of Craiova and Bifröst University was initiated by Monica Tilea and Kári Joensen in 2013. The two universities have been partners in two inter-institutional cooperation projects financed by the EEA Grants – Financial Mechanism 2009-2014: New Tools for the Integration of Transversal Skills in Modern Teaching Practice (http://proiecte.ucv.ro/transmod) and Learning to Live Together: Modern Perspectives on Transversal Skills in Education for Sustainable and Solidary Development (http://proiecte.ucv.ro/elitmod).

The main objective of the present visit was to finalise and to submit an application for a cooperation project in higher education financed by the EEA Grants – Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. As a result of this visit, the application of the project A Comparative and Transdisciplinary Approach to Education for Democratic Citizenship (ACTA) was finalised and successfully submitted within the 2018 call for proposals of the Education, Scholarships, Apprenticeships and Youth Entrepreneurship Programme in Romania.
