New agreement with the FOM University of Germany

Back in November 2017 Vilhjálmur Egilsson, rector and Karl Eiríksson, international representative of Bifröst University visited Essen, Germany to meet with the FOM University members and establish a cooperation between the two institutions.

Following the event in 2017 we have had the pleasure this year to welcome Prof. Dr. Dr. Clemens Jäger and Michaela Schönherr-Gündogdu international representatives from FOM University. The visit was made to complete the procedure with signing an agreement on the implementation of an academic and cultural programme called Summer Conference in Iceland 2019.

This is a joint programme between the two institution which will take place next year in June 2019. Students will spend two very colorful and eventful weeks in both universities, a week in Iceland and another one in Germany. The conference consists of two modules, which are „Sustainable Leadership” and „Digitalization”. The programme is designed for a minimum of 19 participants.

The FOM University of Applied Science has collaborations with many universities worldwide and a strong international orientation. It has over 29 FOM study centres all around Germany. With the collaboration of guest lecturers coming from many countries FOM makes sure that students receive high quality lectures and allows them to broaden their horizons.
