It has been decided to change the opening hours of telephone lines at the university offices of Bifröst University. The service desk will now only be reachable between 09am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm. However, staff can always be e-mailed and those will be answered as soon as possible. This change has been made to streamline services and it is our belief that this will lead to faster processing of requests.
Equality days, which are held by all the universities in Iceland, will be held on February 3 - 7, and related events will be held in all schools. Gender equality days combine the various dimensions of equality and feminism and explore diversity, privilege, silence, the struggle for equality, power and discrimination. Emphasis is placed on the opportunities created by putting ideas of the norm - the "normal" - and the subordinate under the microscope.

Two faculty members of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Professor Eirikur Bergmann and Associate Professor Heather McRobie, attended a conference on 'Constitution-making and deliberative democracy', funded by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), at the University of Glasgow on the 24th-25th October. Participants engaged in a wide ranging discussion on how constitution drafting processes can and should be as inclusive as possible.
