  • Kraków is the second largest city of Poland and it is located in the south
  • In the year 2000, Kraków was the European Capital of Culture and in 2014, it was the European Sports City - it is a very popular venue for international sports and other events
  • The university is Poland's oldest higher educational institution, with its 650th anniversary in 2014, and also one of the oldest ones in Europe; Kraków itself is one of the most important educational centres of the country
  • Kraków is a very popuar tourist destination; Historical buildings and places, the picturesque old town, museums, theatres, art galleries, historical exhibitions, churches, and many more tourist attractions can be found
  • Kraków is well-known for its exciting nightlife; A huge variety of bars, clubs, pubs and discos delight every passionate night owl
  • The city is known for its many parks and recreational areas; You can also visit the zoo or the Botanical Gardens; Or you just relax in one of the spas or decide to go shopping; For active and sporty people, there is a huge offer for every kind of sports
  • In Kraków you can find restaurants for almost every kind of international cuisines; You should not miss to try traditional Polish cuisine - which is similar to other Central-European cuisines - with dumplings, sausages and beer playing an important role
  • The living costs in Poland are comparably low compared to many other European countries
