This course will introduce you to the basic concepts of game theory and its concrete applications across all the social science disciplines, including economics, political science, business studies, and sociology. You´ll also see that game theory considers how we should make decisions and, to a lesser extent, how we do make decisions. We focus on using game theory concepts to understand real life social phenomena, rather than deriving or proving theorems. No specific mathematical knowledge beyond that taught in high school is assumed, though an ability to follow extended logical arguments is assumed. This course is accessible to everyone who can think. At the end of the course, you should have a good foundation for taking a more mathematically rigorous game theory course at the master´s or doctoral level.
